Our Services

Simple high quality health care for busy women is valued at IRMC. Women’s health and the specialty attention required is extremely important to IRMC. Leona Logan, RN, CNM, and Women Caring for Women are now located within Indiana at Chestnut Ridge.

Logan is a registered nurse and certified nurse-midwife who specializes in the care of healthy women throughout their lives. She graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, in 1978 and the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Ky., in 1995. She is board-certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Logan is also a participating provider of the Healthy Women Program, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, which offers mammograms and Pap tests at no cost for qualifying women.

Women Caring for Women

The practice of Women Caring for Women is a service that specilizes in the gynecological needs of healthy women. Our practice is unique because we deal with the normal complexities of women who are healthy. We consult, collaborate, and refer to the obstetrician/gynecologists and medical physicians affiliated with Indiana Regional Medical Center when necessary.

In our efforts to empower women to reach their health goals, we have several facts making us different from many other places.

• Have an all female staff.
• Take the time you need for your concerns.
• Offer medical and self-help treatment options.
• Provide confidential and exceptional care for women of all ages.
• Suggest anti-anxiety strategies.
• Give a choice of plush velour, terry cloth, cotton or satin exam gowns.
• Accept most insurances.

Our well-woman health services include:

• Pap tests.
• Breast and pelvic exams.
• Mammogram referrals.
• Contraception options.
• Natural family planning.
• Sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment.

Our overall women's health services include:

• Colorectal blood screening.
• Pregnancy testing.
• Vaginitis relief.
• Premenstrual syndrome help.
• Menopause treatments and options.
• Community outreach.
• Preconception counseling.
• Routine laboratory tests.

We believe women's health is more than an annual exam.
